Once back at the station, the items within the backpack were inventoried as part of the arrest.
Inside the backpack, officers located a loaded black Hi-Point 9MM handgun. Keary T. Jones, 22 years old from Camden, NJ, was charged with unlawful possession of a handgun, possession of a handgun for an unlawful purpose, certain persons not to possess weapons, hindering apprehension, and smoking in public.
Jones was unable to post the required bail needed for release and he was lodged in Burlington County Jail, pending court. A short time after the officers were advised of the illegal activity, the female was located at a vendors table. Officers pulled the female aside and began a conversation with her about the counterfeit money.
